News from Dupaco Community Credit Union

Dupaco Community Credit Union received the 2022 Employ Humanity Excellence Award by Employ Humanity earlier today at the credit union’s corporate headquarters in Dubuque.

The member-owned financial cooperative is the sole employer that Wisconsin-based Employ Humanity selected for the annual award.

The award recognizes an employer who has demonstrated excellence to the comprehensive well-being of its employees, industry and communities. Recipients of the award are top-rated employers of choice that have demonstrated excellence in servant leadership, workplace culture, and, most importantly, making the world a better place for humanity.

During the award ceremony, Employ Humanity applauded Dupaco for its commitment to diversity and inclusion efforts, strong leadership and engaged connection to the people and communities the financial cooperative serves.

Dupaco is the first Iowa-based company to have received this award. The credit union currently employs over 650 employees and serves members throughout Iowa, northwest Illinois, and southwest Wisconsin.

In other news, Dupaco will host two financial planning seminars on Wednesday, October 12 on the topic of social security planning. Guest speaker Cole Schmelzer from Dupaco Financial Services will present at Noon-1 PM and again at 6-7 PM at Dupaco Community Credit Union, 3999 Pennsylvania Ave., Dubuque.

Titled Social Security Planning,” the informative seminar will discuss strategies designed to maximize your social security benefits. The free seminar will help gain an understanding of social security eligibility and options; factors to consider when deciding to take benefits; how your decisions can impact beneficiaries; and opportunities to help fill retirement income gap.
